Cosmetic tattooing involves gently implanting specially crafted pigments into the dermis layer of the skin, using tiny, sterile, disposable needles. This meticulous process is employed to create the illusion of a fuller brow to enhance one's natural assets and facial features.

At Blush & Brow Beauty, Cassandra is a specialist in the Ombre/Powder technique for brow tattooing. While some may commonly use terms like microblading or feathering as umbrella terms for brow tattoo, it's important to recognize that Ombre is a distinct and separate method.
In the art of Ombre tattooing, a state-of-the-art digital machine and a precision-engineered, sterile tattoo needle delicately implants pigment into the skin to mimic the appearance of a softly, filled in brow. In contrast, microblading employs a manual blade technique to mimic lines/strokes amongst existing hairs.
Cassandra's personal preference has always leaned towards the Ombre technique, and she firmly believes it consistently delivers the most outstanding results. Ombre is incredibly versatile, making it suitable for a wide range of skin types. What sets it apart is its ability to maintain the skin's integrity better and provide a longer-lasting, more graceful aesthetic.
Although Ombre brows may initially appear more pronounced immediately after the procedure, they gracefully transition into a soft and natural finish during the healing process. This natural softness often outshines microblading, especially as the tattoo matures with time.

The option of a topical anesthetic gel is offered to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Pain tolerance can vary significantly from person to person, and Cassandra takes every measure to ensure you feel at ease throughout the process. It's worth noting that some clients may experience minimal discomfort, but rest assured, this is typically quite minor, and many clients find the experience so relaxing that they even drift into a nap during their appointment.

Cosmetic Tattooing is perceived as a permanent procedure, given that the results cannot be washed away. Nevertheless, it's essential to understand that the pigment will naturally metabolize within your body over time and fade, albeit slowly.
The longevity of these results typically ranges from 1-5+ years, sometimes going as far as up to 10+ years.
Touch-ups are recommended to maintain the colour and tattoo over time. The length of time between these is dependant on multiple factors (i.e. aftercare, lifestyle, skin type, skin/body conditions etc.).
As cosmetic tattoos mature, the pigments may undergo subtle shifts. This is due to the variable breakdown rates of the pigments initially deposited in the dermis, based on the size of the molecules. When the body retains these larger molecules, it's not uncommon to notice subtle changes in color, which may prompt a need for a corrective process known as neutralization.
Neutralization entails skillfully implanting specific pigments, such as shades of orange, green, or yellow, to delicately restore the color to its original state.

Upon confirming your booking, you will receive a comprehensive information package, a consultation, and a consent form via email in prior to your appointment. This equips you with all the necessary information for your upcoming visit and also aids in determining your suitability for the procedure.
Once your suitability for the treatment is established, it is essential to diligently adhere to the pre-care guidance provided.
During your initial appointment, we allocate a generous three-hour timeframe to ensure a unhurried process in crafting your dream brows.
The first hour is devoted to a meticulous pre-draw stage. Here, Cassandra takes precise measurements of your facial features and artfully fills in your brows with specialized products to create the perfect design. This initial phase offers an opportunity for you to address any concerns, have all your questions answered, and ease into your appointment during the process of shaping your customized brows.
While Cassandra certainly takes your preferences into account, she will present the design that best compliments your unique facial features, aiming to achieve a harmonious balance. The tattooing process will not commence until you have wholeheartedly approved this design.
Once the design is approved, Cassandra begins the tattooing process, gradually layering the color to build the desired coverage and density. The layering approach in ombre brow application allows for remarkable versatility in the style of brow achieved. Go softer and natural or opt for more definition.
Upon completion of the treatment, you will receive a carefully curated aftercare kit along with comprehensive instructions to follow over the subsequent 10-14 days, ensuring the long-lasting beauty and health of your newly enhanced brows.

During the initial days following your cosmetic tattoo treatment, you may notice that the pigmentation appears richer and more pronounced than anticipated. However, it's essential to understand that this intensity will gently subside as your skin undergoes its complete healing process. Some degree of redness and swelling is to be expected, but it typically remains minimal and well within the range of what is considered normal.
- 08
The most crucial healing period is the 10-14 days following each appointment which requires aftercare to be carried out for this period. A detailed aftercare kit and instructions will be provided to you at your appointment.
- 09
During the healing period, we kindly request that you refrain from using makeup to mitigate any potential risk of infection. Once the healing process has concluded, you are free to resume your regular makeup routine, if desired.
It's essential to bear in mind that while cosmetic tattooing offers remarkable day-to-day convenience, it doesn't entirely replace traditional makeup. Cosmetic tattooing, residing beneath the skin's surface, inherently imparts a softer and more natural look compared to makeup that rests atop the skin, creating a denser effect.
- 10
It is strongly recommended to apply a high SPF-50 sunscreen daily once the healing process is complete, as this is essential for maintaining the true and vibrant color of your semi-permanent makeup. Exposure to the sun can expedite the natural softening of the color.
The rate at which the color fades can be influenced by a variety of factors, including your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, the specific pigment color used, the presence of broken capillaries, and any chemical peels performed after the procedure.
In case you are considering a chemical peel, laser treatment, or any other medical procedure, please inform the technician about your cosmetic tattoo. It is imperative that they take the necessary precautions to avoid treating the tattooed area.
